The Castle
An adaptation of the unfinished novel by one of the most important writers of the 20th century, Franz Kafka
Paweł Miśkiewicz runs away from popular interpretations of Kafka. By taking the protagonist on a circus-carnival journey, he asks questions about the essence of joie de vivre, about the variance with with despair and existential emptiness.
K. appears in an unnamed town, eager to get to the castle of the title, cut off from the life of the town. By shattering the existing norms, it pulls the residents out of their lethargy. In the encounter with the supposed savior, the characters begin to experience themselves anew.
